Birthplace of Bluegrass
It was awesome to represent Austin music in the Music City itself, playing for the ASAE annual convention. Similar to Austin in all the ways I love (and a couple that I don't), Nashville was invigorating and inspiring.
The trip was short, but sweet. I met some beautiful people and look forward to returning for some co-writing sessions in the near future.
Since I've recently taken up the mandolin, it was a total thrill to tour the Ryman Auditorium, an historic church-turned-theatre venue (and home of the Grand Ole Opry) where Bill Monroe licks are baked into the walls.
You know that feeling when you meet someone briefly and totally click? That's how I feel about Nashville. I can't wait to get back.
