"We grow great by dreams. All big men are dreamers. They see things in the soft haze of a spring day or in the red fire of a long winter's evening. Some of us let these great dreams die, but others nourish and protect them; nurse them through bad days till they bring them to the sunshine and light which comes always to those who sincerely hope that their dreams will come true."

I love data.

I love data, though I'm still really new at knowing how to figure out how to get to the truths behind the numbers.

Today, I'm uploading my new single "Anchor" onto Soundcloud and wanted to add a song from the Broken Gold album to go along with it.

A while back, I took a survey to find out people's favorite song from that album.  So, I revisited to see these results:

That's why I chose the title track, "Broken Gold" and then while I was linking it to iTunes, I noticed this:

Data, will you be my Valentine?

Thanks to you!

Thanks to you, we kicked the pants off of that Kickstarter campaign and I'm proud to say that all the rewards have been fulfilled.  My office looked like a FedEx store in a hurricane for a long time, but it was worth it.  You are amazing in your generosity and dedication to creative endeavors.  Thank you.

In the absence of a full-time intern/cook/maid/accountant/secretary, our new album Dreamy Weather has been making its way slowly into the outside world.  Look for an official release, with requisite parties and press, sometime in the Spring or Summer.

Until then, the CD is available worldwide at my online store, or in Austin at Waterloo Records (where you'll get a very cool free poster with in-store purchase - ooh la la!).

I did manage to slip a copy of Dreamy Weather to the folks at Texas Music Magazine, who included a review in their wonderful Winter 2013 Issue.

It doesn't feel much like Winter here in Austin, with temps climbing into the 80's today.  Hard to believe the Northeast US is bracing for a blizzard.  To those of you reading from up there, stay safe, be smart, maybe come visit us in the sun belt when it's all over.

Lots of love,
