A Song

james' comment on my last post encouraged me to share something i would normally keep to myself, for pride and privacy.

it's a snapshot of conception. kinks intact. working it out, just getting it out.

Yeah, so the Reid's commercial is a little cheesy, but that was the first time I'd ever heard (of) you. I really liked your voice. Enough to go to the Reid's web site to see if it mentioned who the singer was (it didn't), but I found the commercial and your name on Youtube. And Google led me to your web site. I think you've got a new fan.

Eriin: I have known many musicians through the last 40 years. I knew many of them before they were "disovered". All of them had that special something that just stood out. You knew even when they were playing in that proverbial Austin dive that they were unique. I happened to see your performance on ME from the Long and I was blown away...enough to google you. Saw the Reid's thing a few times and something about the singer just got me... enough to google it. (Let me just state up front that this was/is a first). Imagine my shock when I realized it was you. It is rare that we are fortunate enough as fans to find someone for the first time with that undefinable, mysterious and rare something but you have it. I look forward to seeing you become famous as you no doubt will.

thank you, edward. making a living of creative work is my dream. (and from there, a small empire would be nice)
