I see you in me.

"The color of the object illuminated partakes of the color of that which illuminates."

Vincent Van Gogh

a bit about the James Taylor concert (i can't even tell you what a slammin' band he had exept to say "steve gadd on drums and michael landau on guitar") in the "Take 5" section of the Peoria Journal Star newspaper:
4. The crowd's most die-hard fan undoubtedly was Denise Kinman of the Mississippi River town of Hamilton. Kinman, 54, drove more than two hours to see her first concert by Taylor. She almost didn't make it, as she just completed her second round of chemotherapy for colorectal cancer. But her son Travis Surprenant, who lives in Washington, cajoled her into making the trek.
"He said you haven't been out in a while," Kinman said.
And it might be her last concert for now.
"It's spread to my lungs and my liver," she said, "so I don't have a lot of opportunities like this left.
"Live one day at a time."

I love it when Adam Gerik takes my picture.
This one was taken, quite appropriately, where I wrote "Rooftops."

The Ink

I've been a fan of The Ink for a long time. So, now I have two reasons to share it with you:

1) Thought-provoking, beautifully written monologue about life and faith
2) Shameless self-promotion

... and John gets a shout-out, too!
